I grew up playing jazz, I find jazz one of the most creative, expressive and challenging music there is. Over the last few years, I have had a few personal setbacks. I have had two joint replacements in two of my fingers. I now have two titanium fingers that have allowed me to continue playing, for that…I am grateful to God. I have recorded several albums, but never a jazz album. This album has been over two years in the making, I wanted to have some recordings of my playing/singing, and while I’ve technically struggled a bit, I have pressed on. “Jazz Remembered” was recorded at PMA Studios by the talented Paul Andrejack The album consists of eight jazz standards including vocals, and two of my original pieces. I have incorporated some of the most creative and talented people I know. For those of you who like jazz, I think you will enjoy the album. For those who have never listened to jazz, but are open to this art form, I hope you will be musically inspired. I believe it’s an album most people can enjoy. The album features many talented musicians. The core musicians being Morrie Louden on Bass, Chris Covais on Drums and John Maurice Restrepo on saxophone. It has been my great pleasure working with all of the fine musicians that performed on this album.
